This unique experience is something you will never forget.  Feel like royalty in your own unit while your chef takes care of everything, from shopping, to set up, to cooking, to service, to clean up.  There are several menus you can select from, including a typical Costa Rican menu, or you can create your menu on your own.   The chefs are culinary experts that create a truly magical evening for you.

The private chef service cost is based on menu selection.   Please contact CLICK HERE for current menus options.

In order to reserve this service, please e-mail the following information to reservations@buenavistaluxuryvillas.com:

  • Date for service
  • Time for service (please note, the chef will need to arrive about 1 hour prior to service time)
  • Number of adults & children dining
  • Name on reservation and confirmation number
  • Menu selection (one per person)
  • Please note any dietary needs

This service is not available for junior suite clients, as this unit does not offer a kitchen.

 

Grocery Shopping Service

Allow Buena Vista Luxury Villas Staff to stock your villa prior to your arrival.   Please CLICK HERE for our current grocery list.   Complete this form and e-mail to reservations@buenavistaluxuryvillas.com no less than 48 hours prior to your arrival.   There is a $25 fee for this service, plus the cost of items.  All charges can be paid at time of check out.

Victoria’s Gourmet Restaurant

Victoria’s Gourmet Restaurante is Tulemar & Buena Vista’s partner for fine dining in Manuel Antonio. You will be treated to the finest “Tuna Chipotle” or “Jumbo Shrimp Portobelo” in the Central Pacific or any of the other gourmet epicurean delights on the menu. Enjoy the food either in Victoria’s warm and intimate setting or have it delivered to your room… either way you can enjoy the ease of signing the bill to your room!

Agua Azul
For lunch or dinner, Paige and Chef Rob´s creations offer a variety of food including Pad Thai, Chicken Marsala, or Seafood Pasta. One of their most popular staples is their Panko Crusted Tuna. It is located just 200 meters to the right of our property entrance. Open daily from 11am-10pm, closed Wednesdays.

Barba Roja
This is one of the oldest landmarks/restaurants in Manuel Antonio and has an unbeatable ocean view. Located just 50 meters to the right of our main entrance.  It has a rustic feel and offers a French style menu. It is a fun place to relax after a day on the beach, enjoy the sunset, and listen to live music. Open Tuesday through Sunday, serving dinner from 3:00pm -10:30pm. They have a 2 for 1 sunset happy hour from 4:30pm – 6:30pm.

Café Milagro
There are two locations where you can enjoy the same Café Milagro menu: Quepos at the Marina and Manuel Antonio. In this cozy café, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast, a fabulous lunch, such as the hummus sandwich, and/or an outstanding dinner, like the banana-leaf wrapped red snapper. Please note that dinner is ONLY offered at the Manuel Antonio location. Additionally, both locations offer fresh baked pastries and cakes. Try a slice of the carrot cake, accompanied, of course, with a cup of their famous home-roasted coffee.

Ronny’s Place
Their open air setting creates a real Costa Rican atmosphere. High on a hill overlooking the ocean, Ronnie’s Place has it all from magnificent sunset views to a quality menu. Pitchers of sangria are available. Open 2pm-10pm.

Salsipuedes
Right outside our entrance to the right. The word itself means “go out if you can”. Salsipuedes is a “tapas-style” restaurant, meaning they serve small size portions of everything from nachos to sashimi, at great prices. They also offer larger portions of their tapas if you want to make a meal out of them. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, closed Tuesdays.

El Avion
El Avion (The Airplane) is a fun experience for the whole family. This unique restaurant offers history, along with a tropical dining experience. This aircraft was brought here piece by piece after it had crashed and landed in Panama. It is an icon in the area, and you should not miss it. Have a drink in the cockpit or enjoy your dinner overlooking the ocean.

Restaurante Z
This delicious Nuevo Latino, Mediterranean Cuisine is located in Plaza Yara, 1.5 kms from the property on the way to Quepos. Z,s Restaurante invites you to enjoy excellent food in a relaxing and tropical atmosphere. Open daily 4-11pm.

La Luna
Located in Gaia Hotel, this restaurant offers lunch, tapas and fine dinner dining. For lunch try a Chipotle and Caribbean Crab wrap or if you are in the mood of something lighter, the tapas are offered from 3-6pm. For dinner, try their smoked salmon carousel or their Gaia Signature Angus Filet Mignon. Enjoy the wide variety of choices this menu offers. One of the best restaurants in Manuel Antonio, but pricy!

La Cantina
A similar concept as El Avion, but La Cantina is a train wagon. Enjoy a barbecue style dinner while listening to some reggae notes.

Makanda
This is fine dining at its best! Enjoy their international menu, and be sure to try one of the chef’s special-Lamb ribs in a Mint Sauce. Open daily for lunch and fine dining from 11am-10pm.

Gato Negro
Located across from El Avion, this restaurant will satisfy your desire for fine Italian cuisine. Pastas and fresh fish and other Italian fare are offered.

Byblos
Manuel Antonio’s Sport Bar and restaurant with great dinner available (and pizza). Enjoy their big screen TV, full pool table services, and casino.

Mar Luna
Mar Luna has a lot to offer. Enjoy local music while snacking on the fresh catch of the day. They have one of the best calamari salads in town and a tuna sashimi appetizer to die for! With a lively atmosphere and great service, you will walk out fully satisfied. Open daily 4-10:30pm.

Si Como No
This hotel features two local restaurants-the Rico Tico’s Bar ‘n Grill and Claro Que Si Seafood Restaurant. They both offer quality meals, genuine hospitality, and beautiful atmosphere. Live music is offered nightly.

Harley M On the Beach

Harley M has a lively, upbeat blue-and-white décor that functions as a natural extension of the surrounding sky and waters. Handicap-accessible and fully open-air, the restaurant projects an ambience of laid-back cool. Overhead fans stir up the beach breeze to soothe your sun kissed skin as you ponder the extensive menu for drinks (full-service bar) and sustenance. Lose yourself in Harley M’s ample menu and conjure up a luscious entrée.

They have enhanced your experience with the addition of several HDIM televisions–the first and only in this area–that broadcast all the sports you might be missing from home. Open daily 7:00am – 10:00pm.  Live music – Sundays at 4:00pm

Puerto Escondido Restaurant
Located near the Manuel Antonio Public Beach, Puerto Escondido offers a beautiful setting, from its Spanish Colonial décor incorporating terra cotta pottery and natural wood to the colorful artwork on its walls.  Puerto Escondido emits a casual, laid-back vibe, but don’t be fooled:  it is a place for serious eating.  Chef Domingo Mora, Cordon-Bleu trained and a veteran of 15 years cooking in professional kitchens, is well-known for his specialty dishes.  Open for lunch and dinner.

 

The Falls Garden Café at the Falls Resort
The Falls Garden Café, a quietly beautiful space located at the back of the hotel lobby of the Falls Resort, offers a serene experience that will calm your soul after all your adventures in Manuel Antonio.  Set at the top of an imaginatively designed three-tiered garden area, the open-air dining room can seat 50 at well-spaced tables with cushioned cedar chairs.  Cloth napkins and soft candles at dinner, a menu that changes regularly and features a chef’s special every night.

The Falls Garden Café incorporates traditional Costa Rican elegance with easy-going, friendly service.  Fresh local ingredients and expert preparation go a long way. They offer breakfast (buffet), lunch, dinner, and full-service bar.

El Gran Escape
The fishermen’s favorite! Seafood and Mexican food served in large portions in a laid-back but professional atmosphere.

Tropical Sushi
This is an authentic sushi restaurant with fresh tuna and grouper brought in daily by local fishermen. Try the Maki Sushi and the Sashimi made with Chilean Salmon. The nicest seating is available on their open-air patio.

L’Angolo
This little Italian deli offers very fresh ingredients in their pastas, sandwiches, Italian meats and cheeses. Try their espresso! Hours are from 9am-8:30pm, Monday-Saturday.

Sugar
This little cafeteria specializes in coffee and baked goods, but also has breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The food is mostly American style. Open from 8am-11pm.

Nightlife and Entertainment

Barba Roja
One of the best discos in Manuel Antonio to have some drinks and go dancing is at Barba Roja. Their busy nights are Thursdays and Saturdays after 10pm.

The Lounge
Tuesdays/Thursdays: Offering a unique, eclectic atmosphere and located right across the street.
Ladies Night, 9:00pm – close. Ladies get free rum & cokes, guaro drinks & vodka & frescas all night long. Open late.

Republik
If you want a trendier atmosphere, Republik is your place. This fairly new lounge bar is located in downtown Quepos. Their busiest nights are Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays after 12 midnight.

Waky Wanda
Located in downtown Quepos, this American Bar offers Blues, Country music and 70’s music.

Casino Kamuk
In Quepos, around the corner from the main entrance to Hotel Kamuk/Best Western, for those who like to gamble! Free drinks while gambling, this casino has slots, roulette, rummy & more. Open from 12:00pm – 2:00 or 3:00am.

Live Music

La Cantina
Located across from the Costa Verde hotel, La Cantina restaurant/bar offers live reggae music nightly.

Bambu Jam
This restaurant/bar offers live music Tuesdays and Fridays. The best place to relax is upstairs in their cozy lounge.

Los Locos
Los Locos offers live music in downtown Quepos on Fridays and Saturdays.
