  1. Special combination or combo tour

The tour starts and finishes on Punta Uvita Beach, it spends about three hours from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and takes place into Marino Ballena National Park, it includes a visit in which you can see the different beaches of the National Park (Punta Uvita Beach, Colonia Beach, Arco Beach, Ballena Beach and Piñuelas Beach), on the other hand it also includes a visit to different important places near the national park such as: Ventanas’ Caves (by boat) and the possibility to watch one of the Terraba’s River mouths (Coronado River mouth). The tour also includes the cetaceous searching that is one of the main reasons why the tourist visit the zone, of course that is during the arriving season of some species of whales such as: the humpback whale, pilot whale, and some others. There are some dolphin species that are located in almost all of the pacific coast of America such as: the bottle nosed dolphins, common dolphin, rough toothed dolphin, pantropical or pacific spotted dolphin, and some others. It is also renowned because of the snorkeling in one of the important coral reefs that the Park has, in which you can find great marine life diversity, the places are: Ballena Rock and Tómbolo Punta Uvita.

The price of this tour is $70 foreign and $60 national, per person.

The special combination tour “Combo tour” includes:

2.   Caño Island Biological Reserve tour

It is a full day tour; it starts at 8:00 a.m. in Punta Uvita Beach and finishes in the same beach at 3:00 p.m. The tour starts with a trip of about one hour and half from Punta Uvita Beach to Caño Island, in which will be high chances to see cetaceous (whales and dolphins) in their respective arriving seasons (whales). This tour includes a visit to the main beach of the island, in which you will have the lunch; you will also have a time to do snorkeling in one of the best coral reefs in Costa Rica and also a time to do a hike thru the arqueological paths of the island.

 The price per person for the tour is $110 foreign and $100 national  

The Caño Island Biological Reserve tour includes:

  • Bilingual tourist guide (Spanish-English).
  •  Biological Reserve entrances or tickets.
  • Safety equipment (life jackets and first aids).
  • Snorkeling equipment.
  • Snack (water and fruits).
  • Lunch type buffet.

3.   Corcovado National Park tour

It is a full day tour; it starts at 7:00 a.m. in Punta Uvita Beach and finishes in the same beach at 3:00 p.m. The tour starts with a trip of about one hour and half from Punta Uvita Beach to San Pedrillo Ranger Station, in which will be high chances to see cetaceous (whales and dolphins) in their respective arriving seasons (whales).This tour includes a visit to San Pedrillo Beach, in which you will have the lunch, it also includes a guided hike thru two different paths in which you can enjoy the beauty of an amazing landscape and also of the great variety of flora and fauna (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and insects) because of the Rain Forest that covers Corcovado National Park. This zone has the 5% of the species of flora and fauna located in the Rain Forests around the world.

The price for this tour is $120 per person.

The Corcovado National Park tour includes:

  • Bilingual tourist guide (Spanish-English).
  • National Park entrances or tickets.
  • Safety equipment (life jackets and first aids).
  • Snack (water and fruits)
  • Lunch type buffet.

 

  1. 4.   Sport fishing tour

It could be a full day tour (from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) or half day tour (from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.). You will have the opportunity to catch maji maji, different tuna species, different kinds of mackerel, sail fish, sword fish, some marlin species and some kinds of snapper and some others. The captains know very well the zone so they will take you to the best fishing places of the zone.

The price is $700 the boat for the half day tour and $850 the boat for the full day tour.

The Sport fishing tour includes:

  • Bilingual guide (Spanish-English).
  • National Park entrances.
  • Fishing equipment.
  • Fruits and beverages (half day) or lunch (full day).

5.   Snorkeling tour

It consists in a visit to the wonderful coral reefs of the zone (Ballena Rock or Punta Uvita). You will see an amazing marine ecosystem. The trip is about two hours. The beginning of the tour depends of the tide; the best time to do the tour is when the tide is low.

The price for this tour is $50  per person.

The Snorkeling tour includes:

  • Bilingual guide (Spanish-English).
  • National Park entrances.
  • Snorkeling equipment.
  • Fruits and water.  

6.   Special Package: Special Combination Deluxe (Corcovado National Park and Caño Island Biological Reserve)

 

  • 6:00 a.m.: Starting of the tour (Punta Uvita Beach)
  • 7:30 a.m.: Arriving to Corcovado National Park.
  • 7:45 a.m.: Breakfast
  • 8:15 a.m.: Hike (it will spend about three hours)
  • 11:30 a.m.: Lunch
