In January, Manuel Antonio National Park received the Certificate of Sustainable Tourism from the Costa Rica Tourism Board.
This certificate recognizes that the park has a fundamental purpose to make sustainability practical, and necessary. It also recognizes that tourism is critical and competitive and that there needs to be a fine balance between both sustainability and the tourism market.
