Food and Beverage:

For weddings at Tulemar Gardens you have a few options for food and beverage. If your group size is small (under 20) you may have a catered dinner with private chef on your terrace, if you’ve rented a premium villa, or we can arrange a semi private setting in a local restaurant. The beach itself has an amazing setting for a Luau style reception. Imagine eating dinner on a terrace above the sand and surf, Tiki torches lit around you, bonfires on the beach and a delicious seafood themed buffet with all the trimmings. The beach also has a restroom, and electricity for lighting and as well entertainment. Group sizes can be anywhere from 2 to 200. Catering through many local restaurants is available as well as there are LOTS of great spots and event spaces, restaurants with private areas for events with in 5 mins of the property.

Administrative Fees and rules at Property and Home Owners Association Policies:

Tulemar Gardens gated community has many different accommodation options and privately owned properties within its’ gates. For this reason, they have a Home Owners Association, which involves the hotel and private homes. The Association charges a fee of $10.00 a person to use the roads and private beach.  This fee is to clean the beach on the wedding day, have security present and roads free for use for the wedding guests. As well, electricity, restrooms and running water on the beach for the convenience of your guests.

The HOA also has set rules that events on the exclusive beach cannot happen on Saturdays and Sundays during the months of December-April.

May-November Saturday and Sunday events are available.

The Association also has a noise ordinance rule that weddings and any events cannot last longer than 10pm. This means no amplified music played after this hour.

Wedding Coordination Services

We do have a Buena Vista Luxury Villas Wedding Specialist that will help with all your reservations, booking of tours for your group, and transportation of guests from the local or international airport to the resort. However an actual wedding planner is not only suggested but required. In order for the beach to be reserved through the HOA they require a professional to be hired to oversee all the details of your event. This is in your favor as planning a wedding in the Jungle, ocean side and in a foreign country, truly should be in the hands of a professional. At Buena Vista Villas and Tulemar we prefer to work with the fabulous ladies at Tropical Occasions. They were the company that planned the first wedding at our property over 13 years ago and have since then planned hundreds more. They have been in business longer than any other company in Costa Rica and have offices five minutes for our property.
